We are pleased to announce that the latest BETA 2 is ready for downloading.
All BETA testers should have this downloaded and installed automatically with the automatic updator, or you can download it by hand from the usual BETA Downloads section of the website.
Additional commands include:

TILEMAPSTAGGERY
TILEMAPGAPX
TILEMAPGAPY
We've also addressed a number of minor issues.
This is our release candidate build, if all goes well we'll be releasing this version as the new offical version on Monday 1st March.

The release of version 1.3 BETA 2 has been postponed again until friday.
It does not have anything to do with Vålerenga V's Newcastle United football game starting at 4pm UK time.
With the additoinal commands and modifications we'd rather not rush the release out today.

We've added two new commands to the tilemap systems, and corrected an issue with the render limitations because of the map size.
Some tilemaps can be adjusted to stagger the tile on the X and Y axis, this wasn't being taken into account when limiting the map positions.
There are now two additional tilemap commands, TILEMAP UPDATE and TILEMAP DRAW X,Y. The first renders the tilemap to the playfield (so you can draw on top of it) and the second will redraw a single map tile (if its on the screen) for the block specified in X,Y.
These two new commands make isometric games easier.
These two new commands will be released with Version 1.3 BETA 2 which will now be released on the 26th February (tomorrow).

The latest ethosBASIC Version 1.3 Beta 1 is available for all users to download.
We'd appreciate all users feedback as soon as possible as we're wanting to officially release this as the new version as soon as possible.

On monday we will be releasing Version 1.3 Beta 1.
This will install into a new directory as we'll be asking users to uninstall version 1.2.6 once its finally released.
With the inclusion of the rest of the tile map commands we've also got a whole host of others now in the help file.
More experienced users will note that we've moved directories for the installation and we've finally got around to changing all the DLL names into a standard naming convension.
1.3 has had substantial work done on the thread and windows compatibility issues, these are working very well now and so we've depreciated the WINDOWS FRIENDLY command.
