Here is a new version of the BETA to download.
This corrects the issues from the previous release.

20 Nov 2005 - BETA 1.4 Released |
The egerly awaited V1.4 has been released.
This fixes many problems internally, adds playfield collisions and a few other things.
The main thing this does signify is that I've at last managed to fix my development computer and new versions should be appearing more regularly now.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Development is continuing on ethosBASIC, its support website and additional functionality of the ethosBASIC editor and engines.
Over the next few months the BETA program will be open to all Licensed users and we've already included a number of additional features and changes.
Once the initial elments are stable a new BETA version will be updated onto the website, additionally we are in the process of adding a status page onto the downloads section which will describe the features currently in development and will include the website and other aspects.
The feature descriptions will also contain a progress status for each item on the list.
The development status page accessed from the Downloads section and whilst its in progress, you can also access here.

18 Jan 2005 - We're BACK!!!!! |
After many months of inactivity in the world of ethosBASIC I’m back.
I’ll refer you to one of MY emails that were posted onto the website by Desolator Dan:
Date: 3rd October 2004
Sorry I've turned my back on ethosBasic the last six months, I've had to basically. The amount of abuse I was getting from pirate software users and from the pirates themselves over ethosBasic and the level of pirating decimated the company’s profits.
This meant that unless I went to work again I would have lost the company, and probably my house.
Over the last months I've been very fortunate to get a *very* good job and due to its intense nature I've not been able to look at ethosBASIC, and to be honest was so disheartened by it I didn't want to even switch my computer on (and in fact haven't).
I'm moving into a new bigger house I've bought at the end of the month, I'm intending to pick up ethosBasic again then. My work is so difficult now that it'll be back to being a hobby project, I'll sort out all the site problems (not issuing licenses etc.) then.
Again, sorry for leaving all the ''valued users'' in the lurch, but after dedicating 5 years of work in developing ethos, having it stolen on such a large scale (97% of users were pirate) it was soul destroying, and the insults from pirate users who's versions disabled themselves was just more than I could bare so I simply turned my back on it all.
To coin a phrase though, ''I'll be back''.
And I am, the webserver has been repaired and has the fault with the certificate generation system.
Watch this space for much more news, the newsletters will shortly, and users may notice some messages have been removed from the forum.
Thank you,
Glyn Humphreys
