Ethos Basic has been designed primarily as a teaching tool as both a programming language for the
beginner or to be used to quickly produce audio visual programs to aid in lesson developments to
aid in understanding through visualisation and interaction.
Computer programming helps to develop basic computing skills, improves mathematics and its
application, helps to develop logical problem solving and creativity and obviously teaches
the fundementals of computer programming.
To this end we are proud to be able to offer the Ethos License free of charge to
all schools and colleges World-Wide.
To assist in the development of programs within the school environment, ethos uses a single
project file to store all of its data. This means that each students piece of work will be easy to identify
without the need of complex directory structures for associated files. These files are also compressed
to assist in reducing the amount of storage required and allowing students to use conventional removable
media to keep there work on.
Ethos contains a 430+ page user manual which contains tutorials, covers the editor environment and describes
each command and ethos system in detail. The tutorials cover everything from understanding what computer memory is, to programming an interactive program.
