"Simple to work with, lots of features." |

I have been SO impressed while
playing with Ethos and talking to the author. Ethos is a great way to
learn programming but also very good for experienced programmers. I
have 10 years of experience with game programming (consoles and PC’s)
and I find systems like Ethos to be useful. Most other languages have
things that really aren’t necessary for making a game (or just
making it too complex). Another thing with Ethos, is the support, Glyn
(the author) is great in helping out from the message board on their
site. He has SO many good plans for Ethos that I can’t see it
fail at all. So get started with Ethos now, and be ready for the upcoming
versions.

| "Great for the beginner!" |

| This program is so fantastically
straightforward and simple that even complete novices
can learn it quickly. The power of Ethos is incredible compared to the
simplicity of its
design. With even more capabilities in the near future this shouldn't
be missed.

then this is for you!" |

I downloaded this yesterday (15th
october), Today i just registered it and paid for the
software! I followed the tutorials which are very easy and had a graphic
walking across the screen (2d) in no time. Actually I think the only hard
thing about Ethos is trying to figure out what game to make, oh and creating
some decent graphics :-) Taliesini

| "I like this language :)" |

This Ethos language is what Jamagic should have had been with the data, array, resource banks......what IBASIC should have done with graphics and multimedia in Windows and screens....and has a command structure similar and reminds me of a little of Dark Basic and Blitz Basic 2d too. Blows Pure Basic away with a powerful but easy language.
Still learning more about it and also waitng for better things to be included in it....like, structures/user types and also music:midi and mp3. Maybe file operations with both text and random access files...yet using the banks is cool. :)

For about the last year iv been trying to get into programming mainly using C++. Iv found C++ fairly hard to use and there is generally a small output from much work, not like the old AMIGA easy amos days! Iv only just loaded up ethos and already the memories are flooding back. If first impressions count, your program looks awesome and iv got hundreds of ideas waiting to be made. Im glad these days i have 512 ddr ram and a 1400mhz cpu...not like the 68000 7mhz motorolla amiga cpu with 1mb chip ram hehe...
