You can now download BETA 2 of V1.1b from the BETA Downloads section.
This repairs the following problems:
* Exception on leaving editor
* File Manager direct run (Open)
* File Manager edit file
* Uninstall of serial number
Users may notice a very slight speed reduction in this version, don't worry its simply an additional check thats been placed in to monitor running programs, this will be removed in the next BETA release.

04 Jun 2003 - Ethos Basic now part of the National Grid For Learning |

Today Ethos Basic was accepted as part of the National Grid For Learning, and this support website is an officially badged NGfl site.
We would like to thank all parties involved in assisting with this and have now also opened a Educational License restricted forum for Students and Teaching staff to use on request of the NGFL reviewer.
Any requests for educational software examples and tutorials, or assistance will be given a priority and we'd like to actively encourage Educational users to utilise this forum to make requests or queries.

We are proud to announce that Version 1.1b BETA program has begun.
Licensed users (including Educational Licenses) are now able to access the BETA DOWNLOAD section of the web site.
This version fixes a number of issues and is the first version of Ethos Basic to utilise .NET technology.

This only effects UNLICENSED users.
With the new V1.1b version still in BETA test we have temporarily replaced V1.1a with the older (but more stable) V1.1.
Users whom have purchased an Ethos License should continue to use V1.1a.
The reason for the delay on V1.1b is that it now utilises .NET technology and has required a complete overhaul. This will be finished very shortly and Licensed users will be able to download it from the BETA download area which will become active at this point.

16 Apr 2003 - Trial Licensing Issue |

A problem with the 5 free trial license has been shown not to be working correctly. This means your unable to use the five free run trials of ethos before the usage restrictions come into play.
This issue will be fixed as soon as possible and a new Version 1.1b will be uploaded to the site.
This bug only effects unlicenced users, we shall implement a method that will re-instate the trial period for users that have not been able to experience and use these features through the ethos editor.
Please note you can still run programs that use the more advanced features, simply close the ethos editor and double click (run) the program .ETO file through the windows file manager.
